Our selection process consists of a thorough background check, a satisfactory classroom observation, and satisfactory employment references.  Growing Room’s reputation is one of excellence and our facilities reflect that reputation. Our schools are full of state of the art equipment and decorated beautifully with vivid colors. Many visitors comment that they’ve never seen early childhood education schools as beautiful as ours.  Growing Room promotes from within whenever possible. We believe strongly in preparing employees for management positions. It is our philosophy that employees who work their way up through the company have a unique perspective that allows them to be great leaders. A number of our Senior Directors and Assistant Directors began their career in one of our classrooms.

Because of our growth, our schools are constantly recruiting qualified, talented, and dedicated teachers, support and management staff. Our positions include:

Senior Director

The Senior Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring state licensing regulations are met at all times, ensuring the quality of care provided to children meets Growing Room standards, supervising staff, and developing positive relationships with parents and families. The Senior Director must meets all director requirements stipulated by the individual state in which a school operates.

Assistant Director

The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Senior Director in the day-to-day operations of the school and in the absence of the Senior Director has complete responsibility for the school. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring state licensing regulations are met at all times, ensuring the quality of care provided to children meets Growing Room standards, supervising staff, and developing positive relationships with parents and families.

Lead Teacher

This person must have the education, experience and must have met certification requirements dependent upon classroom assignment. The Lead Teacher is responsible for the daily planning and implementation of the curriculum. He or she ensures that children are actively engaged in a safe, organized, stimulating classroom environment and actively develops and maintains positive parent relationships. The Lead Teacher is assisted in the classroom by a Assistant Teacher as required by student enrollment.

Assistant Teachers

The Assistant Teacher ensures that children are actively engaged in a safe, organized, stimulating classroom environment. He or she assists in the daily management and supervision of the classroom and children as directed by the Lead Teacher.

Kitchen Manager

Food Service Teachers must have the certification and experience that meets state and local requirements. He or she ensures that health and safety standards are met and is responsible for preparation of balanced snacks and meals. The Food Service Teacher orders and inventories all kitchen items and accepts temporary assignments within the school as necessary.

Bus/Van Driver

Growing Room bus/van drivers must meet all licensing requirements for transporting children and maintaining their safety. The Bus/Van Driver ensures that Growing Room Policies and Procedures for transporting children are consistently implemented and ensures the vehicle is properly maintained and serviced. He or she must maintain a safe and violation-free driving record.
